Yes. We offer professional hockey skate fitting at Cottonwood Hockey Shop for youth, adult, and

beginner players to ensure proper comfort, fit, and performance.

Do I need an appointment for hockey skate fitting?

No appointment is required. Walk-ins are always welcome during store hours.

What hockey brands do you carry?

We carry top hockey brands (Bauer, True, CCM, Sherwood, Howie’s, ETC.) across skates,

sticks, protective gear, and accessories. Selection may vary by season.

How do I choose the right hockey stick flex?

Hockey stick flex is based on height, weight, and playing style. Our staff can help you choose the

right flex in-store.

Do you fit youth and first-time hockey players?

Yes. We specialize in youth and beginner hockey fittings and help parents understand exactly

what gear their player needs.

Do you sell goalie equipment?

Yes, we carry a small selection of goalie gear. Availability may vary—contact the shop for

current inventory.

Hockey Skate Sharpening & Services

Do you offer hockey skate sharpening in Cottonwood Heights?

Yes. We provide in-store hockey skate sharpening and use both the Blackstone and BladeMaster

machines to do our sharpening by hand, done by trained technicians.

How long does hockey skate sharpening take?

Most skate sharpening is completed in 5–10 minutes, depending on store volume.

What hollow options do you offer for skate sharpening?

We offer multiple hollow options (16 Total options) and can recommend the best cut based on

skill level and preference.

Do you bake hockey skates?

Yes. We offer professional hockey skate baking for eligible skate models.

Do you offer skate profiling or blade replacement?

Yes. Skate profiling and blade or holder replacement services are available in-store.

Returns, Exchanges & Warranties

What is your return policy on hockey gear?

Unused hockey gear in original condition may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of

purchase with receipt.

Can hockey skates be returned after baking or sharpening?

No. Hockey skates that have been baked or sharpened are considered final sale.

Do hockey sticks come with a warranty?

Many hockey sticks include a manufacturer warranty. We’re happy to assist with warranty claims

when applicable. We also offer an extended stick warranty program (90 Days, instead of the

traditional 30).

Youth & Beginner Hockey

What equipment does a beginner hockey player need?

Beginner hockey players need skates, helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards,

hockey pants, and a stick.

How often do kids outgrow hockey equipment?

Most youth hockey players outgrow equipment every 1–2 seasons.

Hockey Accessories & Apparel

Do you sell hockey accessories?

Yes. We stock hockey tape, laces, wax, socks, mouthguards, and other hockey essentials.

Can you special order hockey gear?

In many cases, yes. If an item is not in stock, we can often place a special order.

Do you sell team or shop apparel?

Yes. We carry team and shop-branded hockey apparel.
