Cottonwood Hockey Shop is excited to announce our upcoming Shooting & Stick Handling Clinic.
The clinic will be led by Cooper Limb and Austin Johnson, bringing both high-level playing experience and years of coaching and player development.
Cooper Limb brings 31 years of hockey experience along with over 15 years of coaching experience. He has coached and worked with players in programs including the University of Oregon, University of Utah, Junior Grizzlies, and Dawgs, helping players develop strong fundamentals and confidence on the ice.
Austin Johnson, from Cottonwood Hockey Shop, played competitive hockey for many years including Junior A hockey in Canada and later at the NCAA Division III level. His background in competitive hockey and passion for skill development has carried over into helping players better understand their equipment and improve their on-ice performance.
This clinic will be especially valuable for players who have recently purchased a high-end stick and want to learn how to truly take advantage of it. Modern sticks are designed to maximize power and quick release, but proper technique is key to unlocking their full potential.
During the clinic we’ll focus on:
Proper shooting technique and body positioning
How to load and release your stick for more power and accuracy
Learning how to use your stick’s flex and kick point to your advantage
Edge control and balance for stronger skating
Footwork and skating mechanics to improve speed and agility
Our goal is to help players better understand their equipment while building strong skating and shooting fundamentals that translate directly into game performance.
Sign up in person at Cottonwood Hockey Shop!
Spots will be limited so we can keep instructions detailed and hands-on.
This Clinic will be comprised of 2 sessions Thursday, March 26 | 7:45 PM – 9:00 PM & Monday, March 30 | 7:30 PM – 8:45 PM
Cost: $250.00 (Includes both 75-minute sessions)
We look forward to seeing players on the ice and helping them take the next step in their development.
